Jesse's Proposal...
This is pretty much how the evening went...btw: look at that picture...I looked horrible!
It was a Saturday and Ashley went over to Jesse's home like she usually does in the evenings. They had plans to go to Christmas in the Oaks at City Park. Ashley was procrastinating, as usual. Little did she know that dinner arrangements had been made later that night. She was eating her leftovers from the night before and was told by Cari that she had bugs in her food. At the time she was not sure why Cari was telling her that because Ashley did not see bugs in her food and if she did she certainly would not have eaten it. That did not matter she wanted to eat before they had to leave!! Finally Jesse tells her that they have to go or else they will miss it. So Jesse and Ashley get to the Oaks and are walking around and enjoying the lights. They got to this one, little secluded area with pretty lit up doves above them in the oak trees. Jesse said, "I don't know where else to do this, so I am doing it now." Ashley said, "No, you are not doing this right now, are you? He said, "Yes I am!!" Meanwhile Ashley is a mess in her comfy tennis shoes, old tee shirt, jeans and hair a mess. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him!! Of course, Ashley SAID YES!!! They got in his car and he started driving in the opposite direction of home. He started driving down St. Charles and it was at that point that she knew they were going to her favorite place, The Melting Pot. They walked in and most of their family was there. It was perfect. They got gifts and a cookie cake. Jesse did a great job planning this proposal!!
